Young Living Essential Oils Review: What are the Main Benefits of Essential Oils in Reiki?

In 2023, essential oils have continued to be an increasingly popular option for energy healers and those seeking alternative forms of health and healing in their lifestyle.
This is how I became aware of essential oils: for several years my daughter has been using Young Living essential oils (this link takes you to the Young Living website). She uses a special blend to help relieve aching muscles and back aches for her husband.
She also diffuses them to help improve her household energy, which seems to have helped them not spread as many cold germs and stay healthier overall, which is no easy task with my two young grandsons.
Even Fred, her household dog seems healthier!
I understood the use of rubbing oils on a sore muscle, and to breathe them in to open a stuffy nose, but I didn’t get the benefits of diffusing. I thought, “sure this is just like burning a candle or spraying air freshener around”. Boy was I wrong!
Back in February 2015, after studying up and reading books on the topic, I began thinking of how I could combine essential oils to enhance healing. I then decided to begin adding Young Living essential oils to my Reiki practice and adding new elements to the healing atmosphere.
Whenever I gave a healing treatment to a friend, family member or in my Reiki community during a Reiki share, in order to enhance the relaxing experience, in addition to playing relaxing Reiki music, I would offer to diffuse essential oils.
I also offered a glass of water with specific infused oils to enhance detoxification. Personally, I have continued to also enjoy drinking them daily.
Check out the following quote from Natural Awakenings Magazine that tells of air fresheners having toxins:
“Essential Oils: The Natural Resources Defense Council conducted a test on commonly used conventional air fresheners and found that they contained many disease-causing toxins such as phthalates, benzene and formaldehyde. In contrast, essential oils- also known as essential essences- are a simple way to rid your home of unwanted guests such as mold, bacteria, allergens, odors and other volatile toxins. Essential essences such as ylang ylang, eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, sage and grapefruit are excellent for purifying home air. Essential essences can clean your air, enliven your senses and rejuvenate your spirit, and bring you more into balance.”
How are essential oils used? Young Living endorses these 3 uses:
- Inhalation
- Topical application
- Internal consumption
Why Young Living?
- These oils are pure, not mixed with any “carrier oils” like the ones you can purchase in a store, this gives you more options for use.
